7-Eleven Stores turned into Kwik E Marts!!

Over night twelve 7-11 stores nationwide became "Kwik E Marts", the fictional mini market made famous in The Simsons TV series. The transformation is part of the marketing campaign for The Simpsons Movie set for a July 27 release date. MusicBox visited one of the Maryland stores that had been transformed and rest assured we bought plenty of pink donuts!. Throughout the day long lines of customers snaked through the store, some clamoring for Simpsons items others somewhat bewildered by the change. One customer was overheard being reassured that this was still a 7-11 and things would be back to normal by the end of the month. Customers could purchase limited edition Simpsons items while supplies lasted including Buzz Cola, Radioactive Man comics and Kruty O's cereal. MusicBox ventured out to the only local 7-11 to take part in the campaign and found some items plentiful but the Krusy O's cereal had long since sold out.
